2023 Natural Building Workshops
Go Retro at Woodland Harvest Mountain Farm!

Picture
Join Woodland Harvest this spring for three weekend opportunities as we retrofit buildings on the land with light straw clay insulation, cob & plaster walls, & other natural non-toxic natural building techniques while simultaneously honoring the radical retro vibes of the past with renewed intentions to promote peace, environmental & social justice, & a love for all beings as we step into the future together!

sessions include:
Light Straw Clay (slipstraw) insulation: an amazing technique where straw is coated in a clay slip & rammed into forms to provide significant R-value & an almost fireproof insulation. leave behind toxic fiberglass & & learn how to retrofit or begin your own project.

Making Bottle Walls:  learn how to go from glass bottles to scored, cut & flashed bottles to a fully cob insulated wall with colored glass bottle windows.

Clay Plasters & Pigments:  learn about different layers of clay plaster including interior pigment dyed clay plaster.

Workshops are multi-day immersive & holistic experiential learning opportunities facilitated by elizabeth & Lisa & guest facilitators that include educational discussions, lots of natural building hands-on learning, access to the Woodland Harvest library, & free time for exploring the lands, playing on the pond, visiting the horses, & so much more.
Workshops include on-site camping, nightly bonfires, farm meals & a cob oven pizza party.
Limited to 12 participants, apply today to hold your spot!

We offer several add on services workshops participants can include in their visit including forest healing walks, yoga, massage, tarot & oracle readings & community discussions; email for details.

Please email us directly at woodlandharvestmtnfarm@gmail.com for schedule & to apply for workshops!

Woodland Harvest asks for sliding scale donations in exchange for the experiential learning opportunities we provide & to cover food, materials & give love offerings to our guest instructors.  Donations are sliding scale so that we're not cost prohibitive to folks with limited means. With that said, there are expenses to cover, so by donating on the high end of our sliding scale, others who cannot pay that much can still attend these opportunities and basic workshop and food costs are covered. You choose what amount you feel is fair based on your circumstances.

We ask for a $15-$100 per person per day donation for folks single day workshop visitors & $75-$150+ per person per day for folks who camp & stay for meals on Natural Building Workshop Series days.

We encourage & actively support diverse people in bringing their unique perspectives to our learning opportunities!
We welcome those self-identifying as persons of color, LGBTQ+, indigenous people, and folks who have limited finances. We deeply value equitable access to social & ecological justice education. We recognize the need to support diversity, equity, and allyship as essential to creating a healthy world community. We hold space to grow connections between diverse people, building bridges, pushing edges, and inspiring each other to tend our personal and ecological well-being. Families with children, partners & groups are encouraged to attend!

Covid-Safe Agreements: Workshop participants agree to self-isolate to the best of your ability & make safe choices in public spaces two weeks prior to attending each workshop. While at the farm participants agree to stay on-site during the entire workshop.
Let’s all do our best to stay healthy while learning, loving & growing together!
